Pooldar

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Pooldar (“Pooldar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use the Pooldar mobile application, our legal website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Pooldar, we may collect:

Pooldar does not currently collect precise location, address-book contacts, health information, or data for third-party behavioral advertising. If our practices materially change, we will update this policy and applicable platform disclosures before the new practice begins where required.

2. Passwords and authentication

Pooldar does not have access to your plaintext password. Password-based authentication is handled through authentication infrastructure that stores protected password representations rather than readable passwords. Authorized administrators may have access to account identifiers and other account information needed to operate, secure, support, or administer the Service, but not a readable copy of your password.

3. Why we use information

We use information to create and administer accounts; provide Pooldar’s record-keeping features; store and display user-created records; process and verify credits and purchases; provide support; prevent fraud, spam, harassment, and abuse; protect security; troubleshoot errors; enforce our Terms; comply with law; and improve reliability and core functionality.

4. Data minimization

We seek to collect and retain only information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Optional data, such as a profile picture, is not required to use basic account features unless the app clearly states otherwise. We do not intentionally collect additional personal information merely because it may be useful in the future.

5. Analytics and tracking

Pooldar does not currently use personal information for third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently intentionally deploy advertising pixels or third-party behavioral-tracking SDKs.

Operational diagnostics, security logs, and limited product events may be processed when reasonably necessary to keep Pooldar reliable and secure. If Pooldar later adds optional analytics, advertising, or tracking that requires consent, an opt-out, App Tracking Transparency permission, or another choice under applicable law or platform rules, we will implement that requirement before enabling the relevant processing.

6. Service providers

Pooldar may use service providers for authentication, databases, storage, transactional email, website hosting, app distribution, in-app purchasing, purchase verification, security, and related infrastructure. These providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services or as otherwise permitted by law.

When Pooldar shares user data with a service provider, we require or rely on contractual and technical protections appropriate to the service and applicable law. Pooldar does not authorize service providers to use Pooldar user data for unrelated third-party behavioral advertising.

7. Administrative access

Authorized Pooldar personnel and service providers may access usernames, email addresses, profile information, user-created records, purchase records, logs, and related data when reasonably necessary for support, security, fraud or abuse investigations, troubleshooting, enforcement, legal compliance, or operation of the Service.

8. Profile-picture logs and backups

We may maintain metadata, logs, or temporary backup copies relating to profile pictures or profile changes for security, fraud prevention, moderation, backup, troubleshooting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. We do not promise to retain historical profile pictures indefinitely.

9. Sale, sharing, advertising, and tracking

Pooldar does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising. If we introduce practices in the future that are legally treated as a sale or sharing of personal information, or that require tracking permission, notice, consent, or an opt-out mechanism, we will update our disclosures and implement the required user controls before the practice begins.

10. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Service, maintain transaction and security records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by information type and purpose. Backup copies and security logs may persist for a limited period after deletion.

11. Account deletion

Users may initiate account deletion through Pooldar where that feature is available. Account deletion is intended to remove the account and associated personal information that we are not legally required or otherwise permitted to retain. Limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, legal, or backup records may remain where reasonably necessary and permitted by law.

12. Access, correction, and privacy requests

You may review or update certain account information through Pooldar. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. We will evaluate and respond to verified requests as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

13. California privacy disclosures

California’s Online Privacy Protection Act requires covered online services to disclose their privacy practices. Pooldar explains in this policy the categories of personal information it collects, how that information is used, categories of recipients, how users may request review or changes, retention and deletion practices, and how material policy changes are communicated.

Pooldar does not currently respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals because we do not currently use the legal website for third-party behavioral tracking. We also do not currently knowingly permit third parties to collect personally identifiable information through the legal website over time and across unrelated websites for behavioral advertising.

If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to Pooldar now or in the future, users will receive the rights, notices, and opt-out mechanisms required by that law, including recognition of qualifying opt-out preference signals when required.

14. Children and teens

Pooldar is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without authorization required by law. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13 and no legal basis permits the processing, we may disable the account and delete the information as required.

15. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. We may investigate and respond to security incidents and provide notices when required by applicable law.

16. International users

Pooldar is operated from the United States. If Pooldar is intentionally offered to users in a jurisdiction whose laws impose additional privacy requirements, Pooldar will implement the additional notices, rights, transfer safeguards, consent mechanisms, representatives, or other measures required by applicable law before relying on processing practices that require them.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Pooldar, our technology, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice through the Service, our website, email, or another reasonable method where appropriate or required. Where applicable law requires consent before a new use of personal information, we will obtain that consent before the new use begins.
